How to Verify a Forex EA Before Buying: 5 Checks That Actually Work

Sep 16, 2026· 8 min read

Every EA sales page tells a similar story: huge returns, beautiful curve, one payment and you are set. The difference between a tool and a trap is not the story — it is what you can verify. These five checks take ten minutes and save months.

Why every EA sales page sounds the same

The templates are identical: a winning curve, a big percentage, and a price that feels small compared to the promise. Sales pages are written to sell. Records are written by reality. Your job is to tell the difference before you pay, not after.

Check 1: a promise of profit is a red flag

Nobody can promise profit in trading — not a bank, not a fund, not a robot. If a page guarantees monthly returns, 'safe' gains, or money-back profit, that is not confidence, that is a warning sign. Honest systems state risk in plain language.

Check 2: the record, not the screenshot

A screenshot can be staged; a record is a sequence of real decisions. Ask three questions: how long has it been running live, can you see the actual trade history, and does the number of trades match the stated time period. A record you can check beats a curve you cannot.

Check 3: 100% automated backtest conditions

Backtests only mean something when the conditions are stated. A meaningful backtest is generated in 100% automated mode with no human intervention — no cherry-picked trades, no manual adjustments. If the page cannot explain how the numbers were produced, the numbers explain nothing.

The numbers behind the system

MOM Mode 4 — backtested on XAUUSD, H1, January–September 2026, generated in 100% automated mode with no human intervention: 250 trades, 78.4% win rate, max drawdown 18.6%, profit factor 2.10, starting $500 → $5,851 (+1,070%). The same system has been live for over 1 year. You can verify the numbers, not just admire them.

Check 4 & 5: the source and the support

Where does the EA come from, and what happens after you buy? A verifiable source publishes real updates and a clear risk statement. Real support answers questions before the sale, not only after. If the seller disappears after payment, the discount was never real.

Decision: buy the record, not the story

Ten minutes of verification filters out most of the market. Profit promises, missing records, hidden backtest conditions, unknown sources, silent support — each one is a reason to walk away. A system you can verify is the only system worth paying for.

MOM EA has been live for over 1 year, running 7×24 fully automated. Backtest data on this page was generated in 100% automated mode with no human intervention and does not constitute a promise of profit. Trading involves real risk.
